Cancellation & Refund Policy

At OHAYO TRAVEL JAPAN we understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be clear and fair while allowing us to manage tour capacity and guide availability. Please read the following terms carefully before booking.

Tours

Refunds for private tours are calculated based on the time between your cancellation and the scheduled tour start time (date and pickup time of your booking). The following applies:

• 48 hours or more before the tour start time — You will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the booking.
• 24 to 48 hours before the tour start time — You will receive a 50% refund of the amount paid. The remaining 50% is retained as a cancellation fee.
• Less than 24 hours before the tour start time — No refund is available. The full booking amount is retained as a cancellation fee.

How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, use the "Request Cancellation" option in your Customer Portal for the relevant booking, or Contact Us. All requests are reviewed by our team. Refunds, when applicable under this policy, are processed according to the time window above and will be credited to your original payment method. Processing may take 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

No-shows and Late Arrivals

If you do not show up for your tour at the scheduled time, or cancel after the tour start time, no refund will be issued. We recommend cancelling as early as possible if your plans change to maximize your refund eligibility under this policy.

Exceptions

In exceptional circumstances (e.g. severe weather, natural disaster, or other events that prevent the tour from operating), we may offer a full refund or alternative date regardless of the timing of cancellation. Such cases are evaluated individually. Please contact us if you believe your situation qualifies.
